InNuevo DOCKr to iPad: I’ll Make a Laptop Out of You
Chisel iPhone Dock is Carved from Wood
Check out this stylish minimalist wooden Chisel Dock, designed by iSkelter. Each one is handcrafted from renewable bamboo and has a cutout that perfectly fits your iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5, or iPad mini in either portrait or landscape mode. There’s a hole cutout behind the phone so you can pop out the phone.
The cord sits neatly in it’s own groove so it won’t get tangled. What I like about this dock is that it actually looks really good even when the phone isn’t in it. I’m sure someone who is handy with power (or hand) tools could carve out something pretty similar themselves but since it costs just $39 ($59 the iPad version) it’s not so outrageous that you have to go that route.
Wood iPad Retro Television Dock
Check out this fantastic iPad dock from Valliswood. Designed to look like an old TV complete with dials and rabbit ears (remember dials?! you actually had to get up to change the channel) but with a slot to hold your iPad. A hole in the fold-down rear panel lets you run the charging cord through it. Handmade by a craftsman named Mario in Croatia from local trees- old stumps, broken or parted logs- none are from living trees. Beautiful.
TonSchrein v. 2.0: Insane 4 Foot Tall Gothic iPad Speaker Dock
He’s baaaaaaack. Do you remember a few months back when Georg Dinkel created a ridiculously ornate iPad dock? Well now he’s one-upped himself with a nearly 4 foot tall Gothic Medieval skyscraper of an iPad speaker dock. Yes that’s an iPad dock, check out the iPad on the closeup:
Inside is a 2-way 25 watt speaker system in the bottom part, LED lighting, and a Lightning connector to plug in the iPad. This thing is made of polymer clay, wood, metal powders, metal leaf, acrylic stone, and a whole lot of creativity (and presumably time too). Here’s the backside.
There’s a bit more info on his website, along with a video interview with Georg (in German, so hopefully you speak it, otherwise you can just see the imagery). Amazing work. Can’t wait to see version 3.

Venus of Cupertino iPad Holder
Looking for something a little more in line with the classics to hold your iPad? Designed by Scott Eaton, the Venus of Cupertino iPad Docking Station is inspired by the curvaceous forms of ancient Venus figure. Let the fertility goddess Venus cradle your iPad in her ample bosom.
Each Venus is hand-cast from resin. Your charging cord goes right through her belly button like an umbilical cord of data and power. This iPad dock has a plus-sized price to match it’s Rubenesque form- it’ll set you back $219 big ones.

Extremely Ornate iPad Dock
We know you take your iPad everywhere, and love the damn thing, but building and altar to it… is that the point where we just think it is too much, or we’re not there yet?
Some people treat their Apple products like it’s the second coming of Christ, so it ...

The Most Ridiculously Ornate iPad Dock Ever
One man has created something akin to a shrine to his iPad in what we are calling “The Most Ridiculously Ornate iPad Dock Ever”. Bavarian based photographer Georg Dinkel has created an iPad speaker dock he calls “TonSchrein”, which is German for “Sound Shrine”- appropriately enough.
If there was ever an iPad dock fit for royalty, this would be it. This regal iPad dock is made out of polymer clay. Inside there is a 2.1 speaker sound system. Here’s the back side:
iPod only users, don’t fret, he’s created one just for iPod Nanos too with a dual speaker system:
Unfortunately for those craving something like this for their own iDevices, these were Georg’s personal projects and not for sale. But great work making these, sir.
