Relax, are you hungry like the wolf for some cool new gadgets? Well then take on me with the iRecorder. It might take your breath away with it’s old school 80′s tape recorder looks but it’s true colors are that it’s really a kickin’ speaker that will take you to funkytown all night long, all night. Against all odds, instead of a cassette tape, you plug your iPhone into the 3.5mm jack inside the case and rock that foolish beat.
Hello, is it a handle you’re looking for? Come on Eileen, the handle on the iRecorder extends out so you can be walking like an Egyptian or flashdancing like a maniac with it. You can have faith faith faith sweet child o’ mine that you don’t need an invisible touch to press the working physical buttons to control your music from 9 to 5 even if you come from the land down under. That’s the power of love- or a few batteries. Sweet dreams are made of this thriller, truly.

Fli-Tunes: Frisbee and Smartphone Amplifier
Make your music louder and your day sportier with the Fli-Tunes. This two-in-one device is a frisbee you can chuck around with your buds and a smartphone amplifier. More like ampli-flyer, amirite? After you’re done showing off your athleticism (or lack thereof), just pop out the middle of the Fli-Tunes to make it into a cone-like speaker shape and make your music louder. It’s the ultimate frisbee.
Most Over the Top iPhone Dock Ever
Our favorite Bavarian photographer and one-of-a-kind Apple accessory maker Georg Dinkel has done it again. You might remember him from such over the top creations as this Ridiculously Ornate iPad Dock or this Gothic Inspired iPad Dock. Well this time he’s gone off the deep end and created the iReliquary, a 31″ tall church-like shrine to the iPhone. Underneath all that glitz and glam is a 35 watt 2.1 sound system with the subwoofer under the dome and 4 tweeters in the towers.
Georg made this incredible iPhone dock from wood, polymer clay, rhinestones, gold and silver powder, and electronics. There’s a lightning connector to power the iPhone and Bluetooth to connect to the speakers. The craziest part about all this? Georg doesn’t even own an iPhone!!!! Watch the video below for a closer look at this insanity:
Awesome job, Georg.
Futurist’s Hand Activated iPhone Speaker
This iPhone speaker dock not only looks like some sort of plane or ship from the future, it also works like it’s from the future. The future, today. The Futurist’s Hand Activated iPhone Speaker uses infrared sensors so you can control the music without touching. To adjust the stereo, just wave your hand over one of the four sensors- volume up/down sensors around the fuselage, track changing sensors near the two speakers, and a play/pause sensor in the nose. Connects via Bluetooth, so you can use other phones and devices to play music (but they won’t dock and charge up like an iPhone). Has a subwoofer underneath and includes a remote.
Mini Koo Non-Electric Speaker
I really like the clean simplicity of the design for this Mini Koo Non-Electric Speaker. Essentially it’s just a wooden amplifier but a beautifully crafted one at that. It’s made from walnut and fits all iPhone sizes to increase the volume of your music without cords or electricity. Very elegant.
iNuke Boom Junior
Remember the gigantic couch-sized 10,000 watt iNuke Boom iPod Dock? Well now you can bring that into your home…. in a slightly smaller size (1/23rd the size to be exact). The iNuke Boom Junior from Behringer still maintains the oversized proportions compared to the iPod that docks above it but in a more living room friendly size. It’s a 3 way active speaker putting out 50 watts from these internal speakers: Tweeter (2 x 1″), midrange speaker (2 x 3″), woofer (1 x 5.25″).
The speaker dock works with most iDevices or you can use the line-in for your other music player. The Jr. measures 8.7″ H x 16.5″ W x 9.8″ D and comes with a wireless remote and a video out port. Available only at Costco online.
Massive Horn iPhone Amplifier
Riiicola! As much as I’d like to ridicule the outsized proportion of this Natural Acoustics iPhone Amplifier compared to the iPhone, it is admittedly a gorgeous piece. Made of ceramic, this handcrafted passive amplifier projects music via it’s natural horn curvature shape without any power. The horn speaker sits atop a walnut base. The whole thing just looks pretty stunning, a functional conversation piece for your living room or bedroom. At $499, it’s not too bad if you consider it as both a decoration object and a speaker.
Wake to Light iPhone Alarm Clock Lamp
I really like how this Wake-To-Light iPhone Alarm Clock frames the phone as if it were on a shelf. It looks like a work of art. Besides looking modern and sharp, it works as a progressive light alarm clock. Set the alarm and it gradually gets brighter to awaken you gently.
If you want to wake to music, it can also gradually increase the volume of music from your iPhone/iPod. You can wake to either music, light or both at once and set them for times tarting either 10 or 30 minutes prior to wake up time. It also has an FM radio as well as four speakers hidden within it’s square shell. An auxiliary port can be used for other non-iPhone/iPod devices that don’t fit into the 32-pin dock connector.
Electric Friends Animal iPod Speaker Docks
It doesn’t get any cuter than the Electric Friends iPod Speaker Dock. Available in Sing Sing the Panda, Ki Ki the Cat, Kwack Kwack the Duck, and Chew Chew the Dog, these speaker docks have a fun way of adjusting the volume- just touch the animal’s ears!
That panda is chilling, yo. The docks will charge most models of iPhones and iPods as well as play music through a pair of 5w speakers. The animals run on batteries or AC power and have a stereo input for other non-iDevices. Great for kids and fun loving adults.
