Last year we introduced KEHA3’s wacky yet wonderfully functional Throat lamp and now the industrial-style luminaire is making a comeback with a whole new look! Users can dress up or dress down the wall or ceiling mounted units with custom made stockings that are easily slid over the flexible body. Better yet, they will stretch and move as the lamp does! The new wardrobe also extends the life of the design by making it possible to match your interior aesthetic even as you switch up your style!
With its burst of LED “petals”, the latest in KEHA3’s Wannabe LED family is a street light inspired by the national flower of the group’s native Estonia. Simply named Cornflower, the elements of its lighting fittings can be freely directed with a simple joint. This enables each unit to light the road, the surrounding buildings as well as different objects at the same time. The number of modular Wannabe LED-profile elements used varies from 6 to 8. These modern luminaires, made of aluminum and galvanized powder-coated steel, are ideal as street light poles with a height of 6-12 meters. It’s also possible to add a smart controller to the Cornflower lighting solution so they can be easily adjusted by personnel as surroundings change.
The latest from KEHA3, the Cranberry series of outdoor lighting/seating is inspired by a word-game of the same name in the Estonian language (a resident of Jõhvi, Estonia is called a jõhvikas, also known as a cranberry!). The benches are inspired by the shape of the berry and the park lighting by the plant itself. Park lighting is based on lamps with metal reflector surfaces. These lamps are composed of a three-pointed branch, at the ends of which are red spherical volumes made of PE. Each of them contains a small 75W HIT projector with a symmetrical light shaft which, together with oval reflector surfaces, ensures a beautiful, even and hazy luminance on the sidewalks. In addition, the spherical globes themselves are separately lit by an internal LED-lamp.
On the ground, between and nearby the Cranberry lamps, there are Cranberry chair-lamps also inspired by the berries. These benches, made by rotational moulding, are a great option for gardens, balconies, beaches or city spaces as they do not require maintenance and are highly weather-resistant. The Cranberry chair can be used as a rotating lamp on sliding bearings – this composition is illuminated by a wide-light-shaft projector sunk into the ground. The chair can also be equipped with a comprehensive draining system for draining rainwater and wash water. The bench can be installed by attaching it to a hard surface, or by means of threaded anchors and bolts. When installed on sliding bearings, the chair is lighted by an independent lamp placed in the ground. As a terrace lamp, a light source connected with a cable can be placed on the shell of the seat. In the case of a non-lighted version, the chair may be filled with sand or gravel to stop it from being moved.
From the designers of the Paddle Lamp comes another creative outdoor lighting solution disguised as something entirely different during the daytime. As you might infer from the name, the Shovel Lamp looks like a tool stuck in the ground and is set in place much in the same way. At night, its LED provides ample illumination whether its in the garden or lighting a pathway. Constructed using galvanized and powder-coated metal, its made to withstand the elements.
The latest from KEHA3 design studio, this maximalist chandelier takes industrial style to the next level! Starting at the top, a randomized cluster of brightly colored plugs waterfall into an organized system of directional lights. Each can be repositioned to illuminate the space accordingly. In variations of 8, 16, 24 and 32 lighting elements, the design can be purposed for spaces ranging from small to very large. With each operating independently, they’re as easy to replace as they are to adjust!
Pärnu’s Paddle Lamp lights the way on the river shore path in the city of Pärnu, Estonia. The creatives at KEHA3 designed the thematic lamppost to underline the city’s long-time successful paragliding and nautical history. This lighter is created to light up the shore-path of riverside parts of the center of Pärnu city. The dome of the lamp is poured from PMMA, and the light source is a 35W metallic dome which is installed into the module with shading lamels and a G12 socket. The light poles are installed at a slight angle giving each an artistic moving effect.
This wall or ceiling mounted luminaire called Throat brings a touch of playfulness to industrial-style lighting. Modeled after industrial ventilation pipes, the design is both extendable and shrinkable as well as flexible, making it one of the most versatile options out there. Whether in the bedroom, office, den or dining room, you can adjust and readjust to your needs without any tools required. Even better, it’s an easy and efficient way to accent rooms with directional lighting.
Inspired by the crown of a pine tree, the Branch Chandelier’s extensions were designed with modular logic and can be easily turned and customized for unique placement. As in nature, the boughs are non-recurring and the Y-shaped constructional elements used to create the boughs turn to different positions relative to each other. Beyond the standard of 9/5/14 element options, a maximum of 28 elements can be combined to create the perfect size and expansion for a tailored look.
