Even though the new range of Samsung Galaxy tablets is yet to be officially launched, images of all the three products appeared this week on Twitter, thanks to @evleaks.

Samsung may not have made many changes in terms of design, but the hardware from “under the hood” and the software that comes with the new Galaxy Tab 4 devices helps customers see clearly that the South Korean company made a lot of progress. Fortunately, Samsung doesn’t have the design problem Apple had with its various iPhones that looked the same from one year to another. The manufacturer used the classic three-button design that insures maximum functionality on all Android tablets and smartphones. However, Samsung decided to keep the hardware Home button, while making the other two capacitative.

As mentioned before, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range will include three different models, the main thing setting them apart being the size of the screen. They have code-names, depending on the size, as follows:

• Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 – Degas
• Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 – Millet
• Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 – Matisse

Unlike other tablet manufacturers, Samsung proves to have a lot of inspiration when comes to choosing names for its products. The painter names that the company picked for the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 tablets are more than a nice touch.

When it comes to the technical specs, there aren’t many differences between the three models. All of them will come with a 1.2GHz (most probably quad-core) CPU and Android 4.4 KitKat, as well as 3GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1280×800 display. That’s not exactly mind-blowing, but such a configuration will face no problems when it comes to multitasking or extreme gaming, no matter how demanding the apps are.

As far as connectivity goes, the three tablets will feature 4G LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi in various combinations. The black Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also has an earpiece, suggesting the possibility of making calls using the device.

The hardware is not the only thing that will make a difference between the current generation of Samsung Galaxy tablets and the previous one. Some of leaked images suggest that that the new Galaxy Tab devices will come pre-loaded with Samsung Hub, Hancom Office, E-Meeting, WebEX and Remote PC software.

The South Korean company complied a while ago to reduce the amount of bloatware that comes installed on its devices from the factory, but if the aforementioned apps would have to go as well, there wouldn’t be much there left to differentiate Samsung from all the other manufacturers.
