Pretend you’re Tom Hanks and talk to a volleyball with this… no wait reboot, let’s try again… pretend you’re a slightly older and a little bit jaded and maybe at times just kind of going through the motions Tom Hanks and hide your stuff in a Da Vinci Code Cryptex puzzle box. To unlock this thing you turn the six cylinders, each fully equipped with all 26 letters of the English alphabet, arranged for your viewing pleasure in alphabetical order. Which is the best order for alphabets, according to 9 out of 10 linguistic professors surveyed just now. Facts.
Also a fact is that there are 11,881,376 different possible permutations which according to our calculations, if you tried one combination per second, you can guess it by the time the next Da Vinci Code sequel comes out. Not really sure what you could hide in there, besides maybe a clue or an engagement note or a golf pencil. It’s made of brass and seems to be pretty solid and well constructed according to the reviews. Great gift for puzzle fans, Tom Hanks fan (that’s right, singular), Da Vinci Code fans, and people who already have everything and are super hard to shop for because they have expensive tastes and are super picky and get all snobby and weird about gifts and it’s awkward for everyone involved. You know who you are.

Deal: Da Vinci Ewok T-Shirt
Despite their size, Ewoks are crafty little characters. Remember some of the contraptions they came up with to crush and destroy those AT-ST walkers? So you might wonder if maybe the fuzzy little guys were related to Leonardo Da Vinci.
This fun t-shirt imagines an Ewok at Da Vinci’s iconic Vitruvian Man, only shorter, furrier, and without his junk hanging in the wind. Drop by the Technabob Shop today and grab one for $17.99(USD) – 28% off the regular price.
Build a Mini Catapult Designed by Leonardo da Vinci
It’s clear that Leonardo da Vinci’s mind was always in full motion. The famous inventor drew up countless plans for contraptions and weaponry. Some of his inventions were built while most of them remained on paper. Well, if you want to build one of his designs, a catapult, now you can. It only takes a few common items that you should already have.
This design is pretty cool, and it works pretty well. Now you can have this beauty on your desk and wage office warfare as if gunpowder had not been invented yet. Check out the video by Mist8K below to see how to make your own, using a wooden ruler, a few nuts and bolts, and a few other easy to find items.
If nothing else, it’s a cool conversation piece and a historical replica, even though there is no record of this design ever being made to full scale.

If Iron Man Was Drawn by Leonardo da Vinci
As part of the latest edition of Comic Book Resources’ The Line It Is Drawn series, they asked their artists to think of some dream teams for superhero titles and they did not disappoint. In fact, this interesting art came out of it. Artist Axel Medellin dreamed up with the perfect team: Leonardo da Vinci drawing an Iron Man comic book. I’d buy that.
The helmet reminds me of a medieval knight. Although Leonardo probably would have given Iron Man actual wings and some canvas material between his arms like a bat, this is some pretty solid da Vinci style work.
