This Lucky Cat Has One Giant Muscle Arm

Because there’s a market for absolutely everything, this is a good luck Maneki-neko (“beckoning cat”) statue with a giant muscle arm. Obviously, if the luck it brings is directly proportional to the protein shakes the cat has had, you’re in for a metric ton of good luck.

Available in both a 9-inch $70 and 13-inch $120 model (affiliate link), the cat is also wearing some cool cat sunglasses, so of all the good luck cats, this is the coolest good luck cat. Unfortunately, it doesn’t actually wave, leading me to question whether it can actually provide any good fortune at all.

How many did I just buy? That depends on who’s asking. If you’re my wife, I didn’t buy any at all. If you’re anybody else, I bought two for each room of the house. How will I explain all the giant muscle arm good luck cats when she notices them? The same way I explained all of our dogs: they just wandered in and made themselves at home.

Forget That Rabbit’s Foot! Here’s a Jar of Instant Luck

Insta Luck

Down on your luck? Forget that rabbit’s foot and grab a jar of Insta-Luck instead. Each of these tiny jars contain a hand-picked four-leaf clover that’s grown in the USA and preserved through a 5-step method to make sure that it’ll last you a lifetime. Finding an authentic four-leaf clover yourself has a 1 in 10,000 chance in happening, so save yourself some time and buy one instead.

Luck isn’t guaranteed, but at least you’ll have something to hold on to (aside from your faith) when the going gets tough and when the odds are against you.

Apparently a lot of people believe in four-leaf clovers as well, since they’re all currently sold out online. Fret not though, because they’ll be back in stock on later this month and will be priced at $11.99.

Google reforms ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ button, lets you savor other emotions

Google reforms 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button, lets you savor other emotions

While many of us simply gravitate towards the companion search box or address bar to tap into Google's wealth of search know-how, anyone still visiting the original homepage should give that second button another glance. If you float your cursor over the randomized "I'm Feeling Lucky" button, the text will now spin through a handful of new options, reducing its arbitrary nature a little and, as AllThingsD note, guiding you to other Google services within the results, including location data, restaurant reviews and even its collection of doodles.
