You Can Play as Magneto in Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V already has a lot of ways that you can be destructive in the game, and now here comes one more. You can now play as the X-Men villain Magneto thanks to a mod from JulioNIB. So if you ever wanted to see Magneto let loose in Los Santos and just destroy everything, you can live that dream.

The video below pretty much shows off what Magneto can do. This includes basically every power that we saw him use in the X-Men films like the “steal your guns and shoot you with them” power. And obviously picking every damn thing up and throwing it. You can also super punch vehicles, create a tornado, and rip things out of the ground.

You can rip stop signs out of the ground and impale people, make planes crash into each other and a whole lot more. When you think about it, Magneto is basically just a kid with superpowers throwing a tantrum and breaking his (and everyone else’s) toys.

PC gamers can get the installation instructions here. This just proves that they could make a kick-ass X-Men game if they wanted to, using the GTA engine. I would love to see the whole team against Magneto.

Magneto Cake is Mag-Neato!

The cool thing about a Magneto cake is that it will attract a knife and cut itself. The bad thing is it will also attract all the other metal in your home.

This awesome cake may not look like Michael Fassbender or Ian McKellen, but that’s okay, it does look delicious. I must be metal, because I’m drawn to it. My stomach is anyway.

The first thing you notice about this cake is all of the amazing detail and sculptural work. That black, white, and silver costume looks awesome. Check out those pleats on the cape.

This cool creation is the work of Carla Puig who made it for Comicake 2015, an event where bakers from Spain, Mexico, and Argentina create comic-themed treats. She did a great job on the face too. This is one neato Magneto cake.

Magnetic Magneto Helmet Is Highly Attractive

This magnetic Magneto helmet is the perfect nerdy way to hold your paperclips, scissors, kitchen utensils, basically anything made of steel. It was made by twins Alexandra and Evgenia and also adds some nice realism to any Magneto cosplay if you want to wear it rather than use it for your desk.

Even though the whole thing looks like metal, it’s made of foam coated with glass fiber and putty. The neodymium magnets embedded in the top attract anything made of steel or other magnet-compliant metals. It looks awesome, even if it doesn’t block telepathy.

Just remember to be careful when making a magnetic Magneto costume. It can’t be long now until somebody makes an entire magnetic costume and impales themselves with a pair of scissors.

Guy Walks on Ceiling with Homemade Magneto Boots, Laughs Maniacally

Check out this video of Colin Furze (the maniac who gave us those cool Wolverine claws) walking on the ceiling using his newly-completed, homemade Magneto boots. I question his sanity after seeing him laughing hysterically over the feat. Magneto never got that excited. This is proof that you respect a super power more if you have to earn it, rather than being born with it.

He did have the good sense to try it on a low ceiling though. That’s several small steps on the ceiling for man, one giant leap for nerdkind who have spare electromagnets at home.

Here’s some behind-the-scenes videos of how Colin made the boots and how he learned to walk in them:

Not to be mean or anything, but it would have been funny if he got stuck and had to hang there until help arrived.

Crocheted Magneto Helmet Won’t Protect You from Telepathic Attacks

I’m not sure what’s going on with the Marvel universe right now; the last time I read a comic book with Magneto in it he was taking orders from Cyclops. Whaaaat? I’ll always remember Magneto as the kind of dude who would – and did – rip out a man’s skeleton right out of his body. And that’s why I need this helmet so badly.

This very attractive Magneto helmet was made by Etsy seller/mutant lover/master of crochetism Justine Hofmann.

Awesome Villainous Steampunk Art

The steampunk fashion hasn’t skipped over comic books fan art, not even the villains, who some make a very suitable case for the steampunk rendition. Mostly, it seems, that Batman bad guys fit the bill. X-Men scourge and Doctor Doom, a walking steampunk creation, couldn’t be ignored as well.
