Why the Disney Movie Maleficent Matters
A Dragon Hunter’s Trophy, Maleficent Style
Forget about Skyrim, you can get your own dragons and trophies in real life, even themed after Disney’s Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty.
Believe it or not, paper mache is incredibly versatile when it comes to creating props. Dan Reeder has proved so by creating this commisioned $2000 USD piece, ready to hang in any wall. The piece represents the original Maleficent dragon as seen in the 1950s movie Sleeping Beauty, and it’s so detailed it even uses LEDs to light up the eyes, because it’s just not a dragon unless it gives you nightmares. Maleficent Dragon Hunter’s Trophy
Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty fans will want to check out this cool project by Dan Reeder, who in his spare time likes to slay dragons and mount their heads on his wall. This dragon trophy was a custom commission that he sold for $2000(USD), and it looks pretty amazing.
The dragon’s head is made out of paper mache and mounted as if he Dan hunted the beast himself and dragged it home. The details are really nice. This sculpture is a great reproduction of the original Maleficent dragon from Sleeping Beauty, and even has glass eyes and LED lights to give it that extra scary something that every dragon needs.
It makes one heck of a night-light and would be super scary in the dark.

Magnificent Maleficent Cake Looks Deliciously Evil
Angelina Jolie is one beautiful lady, but in cake form? Magnificent. Uh, I mean Maleficent. This hauntingly beautiful and probably delicious cake was created by Eddie Lebeau and Richard Amon of London’s Tattooed Bakers.
It was a private commission for a Disney fan. Obviously, it didn’t stay very private, as it’s now splashed all over the Internet. According to Eddie, the blood-colored red velvet Maleficent cake was intentionally gory. It does look quite gruesome with a slice taken out of it. The cake was introduced to the world when TV chef Gizzi Erskine posted it on Instagram.
Maleficent as a cake looks just as beautiful as Angelina Jolie herself. Great job guys. Now I’m hungry and there’s not a slice of cake to be had anywhere. Sadness.
