Adorably Interactive Lighting

The designers of the Volé lamp put it best when they described wind as “nature’s engine.” It’s true that wind can be as functional as it is ferocious, and this design is exemplary of that notion. More so, it’s a reminder of the power we harness as people.

It harnesses wind energy produced by the user who can blow (or manually spin) its top-mounted turbine. Upon being turned, the light source is activated, and a soothing glow illuminates the translucent body. In an artistic blend of glass, wood and copper, it’s as much a practical light source as it is a statement piece!

Light up your Consciences

We, as humans, often take artificial light for granted, we switch on our desk lamps, reading lights, or ceiling lights without a second thought of what is powering them or the consequences that it may have. This funky looking lamp forces the user to think twice about their need for light in a rather ingenious way!

The Dina Lamp requires money in order to work, the user simply drops a coin into the top of the product, they are then redeemed with light. This process aims to help them become more aware of the value of light and the amount of energy that it requires.

And doesn’t the Dina Lamp look great? Its unique form and playful off-switch makes for an attractive package. It would be a striking addition to any home and perhaps it would change a few minds along the way!

Culture, Collaboration, and Crockery

me_dinner_set_1

The ME Dinner Set is unique in the sense that it’s a culture collaboration on an international level to design something meaningful. Dutch and Colombian design sensibilities merged together to give the world the ME Dinner set, a 2 casserole bundle along with a platform/hot-stand, grill plate, and a lovely leather carrying strap. Going on a picnic? You’ll literally need nothing more than the ME Dinner set. It beautifully integrates everything into its tiffin box-esque demeanor. Made of ceramic and wood, the dinner set can even double up as a grilling kit or a fondue-maker. If that doesn’t get your mouth watering already, just look at the absolutely delicious colors and hues on the ME Dinner set!
