This multipurpose + customizable table is the self-sufficient meeting island that modern offices need post-pandemic

Since the transition from home offices to actual corporate offices has begun, it’s important to ensure that employees feel comfortable, safe, and motivated in their workplace. And adding the right furniture designs can greatly contribute to creating an office that is conducive to motivation and productivity. When it comes to picking the right office furniture, we’re usually focused on a great workdesk and an ergonomic chair. However, have you ever really paid attention to an excellent meeting or conference table? Well, Narbutas did and designed the Nova Wood Multipurpose table.

Designer: Narbutas

Narbutas has a preexisting collection of office furniture called the Nova Wood collection, and they recently added the Nova Wood Multipurpose table to it. The new multipurpose table has been specially designed for collaborations and informal meetings. In the words of Narbutas, the table is a “self-sufficient meeting island”, that creates a harmonious and comfortable space for casual and quick workplace interactions or meetings. The table has been equipped with a variety of accessories, that you can use to customize it.

The accessories include – power outlets, and attachments for display screens, writing boards, shelves, hooks, and even plant pots if you want to add a bit of green! The wide range of accessories allows the users to create a space that meets their requirements and works best for them. The meeting island is crafted by using the same solid wood ash, that was utilized to build the 2019’s Red Dot Award-winning Nova Wood meeting table. However, it has been additionally equipped with an A-frame and optional castor wheels for mobility.

“The answer is in our nature – for communication and socialization. The Nova Wood Multipurpose table promotes both informal meetings with a cup of coffee and creative meetings for discussing various projects,” said Simonas Savickas, workplace design specialist at Narbutas. The multipurpose table is an excellent platform for employees to engage and interact with their peers and seniors. Narbutas believes it is the perfect design for these times when people are questioning and wondering whether they should even return back to office post-pandemic. In such an age, this multipurpose meeting island serves as a versatile and customizable piece of furniture that fosters meaningful collaborations and interactions.

This Steampunk-inspired 3-in-1 desk appliance merges a clock, set of speakers, and lamp into one!

This 3-in-1 desk appliance weaves a clock, lamp, and set of speakers into a single product that oozes steampunk design elements like analog gears, cogs, and wheels.

Our desks aren’t complete without lamps and clocks. Appliances like desk clocks and lamps take up prime real estate on our desks–finding the right ones makes all the difference for our time spent working there. While there are plenty of clocks and lamps on the market out to choose from, their timeless appeal continues to inspire designers across the globe. Shenzhen-based designer Evan Huang designed a 3-in-1 desk appliance that includes a clock, lamp, and speakers.

Giving the product a more steampunk, industrial energy, Huang looked to stand out machinery elements like pipelines, engine cases, and gears when designing the desk appliance. Experimenting with geometrical forms in the conceptual phase, Huang contained the appliance within a cylinder where all of the product’s inner workings and gears are stored.

The product’s base integrates the clock and speaker components into its build, with a 24-hour Edison-light clock at the top and discreet speakers built into the middle chunk of the cylinder. Blooming from the side of the product’s base, a tall light fixture emanates warm light and remains largely out of the way of working space.

While it sometimes feels like our desks require a clock, lamp, and set of speakers, it can be hard to fit all of that on our desks in addition to our working materials like notebooks and laptops. Through this dilemma, Evan Huang saw an opportunity for design; the 3-in-1 desk appliance was created because of that dilemma. Encasing a set of speakers, clock, and light fixture into a single product, the new appliance concept saves space and looks good while doing it.

This transforming electric vehicle goes from a two-wheel e-bike into a self-balancing unicycle!

Titaa is a dual-purpose, electric vehicle that can transform from a two-wheel e-bike into a self-balancing unicycle.

Unicycles have a reputation for only being used in circuses and carnivals. While unicycle aficionados and hobbyists are surely out there, pedaling away, and without any circus credentials to their name, the one-wheeled bicycle isn’t typically the vehicle of choice for getting around a crowded city.

While riding manual unicycles might be too much of a learning curve for most, self-balancing, electric unicycles sound more like something we could all get behind. Titaa, a unicycle with just those sorts of mechanics, conceptualized by Husky Design is a dual-purpose, modular vehicle that can transform from a bicycle into a self-balancing unicycle.

Getting to know our cities through different modes of transportation brings us to sights and places we previously hadn’t known existed. Titaa is the type of electric bike you’d see zooming down the wooden planks of Santa Monica pier or up the cobblestone avenues of Paris.

In its full form, Titaa is an electric two-wheeler in the shape of a cargo bike. When riding Titaa as a two-wheeler, users sit upright on a curved, elevated seat rest that slopes down toward the bicycle’s set of foot pedals. There, users can rest their feet while the motor charges the e-bike ahead. Built into the rear-wheel component, Titaa runs on a battery-operated system that can be replaced and recharged near the vehicle’s foot pedals.

When users would like to take their shot at riding Titaa as a unicycle, the vehicle’s front-wheel and handlebar system dislodge from the rear-wheel and motor to reveal a motorized one-wheeler. Similar in appearance to single-wheel hoverboards, Titaa differs in that users have an optional seat rest if they choose to sit down while riding. Outfitted with a somatosensory control system, Titaa adapts to your body’s natural movements to remain balanced and respond in real-time to necessary braking.

Designer: Husky Design

When not in use, Titaa’s unicycle form can be handled and carried like a leaf blower or other handheld gardening tools.

These claw-inspired EDC folding knives use an Emerson Wave deployment method for safe and precise movements!

There are some pretty hardcore EDC multipurpose tools on the market. From plier-based to knife-based tools, they’re trusted across industry lines for their ergonomic build and long-lasting reputation. With so many multi-use tools out there, the nitty-gritty, technical details are what set some tools above others. Edging out fixed knives for folding ones, the world’s leading e-commerce site for karambit tactical knives, Karambit.com, features a whole collection of portable multiuse tools with curved blades that fold down so you can bring them anywhere.

Originally built for farming, multiuse tools are currently used for utility, self-defense, and combat purposes. Knives that use folding and Emerson Wave deployment methods are easy to carry around safely and provide a lot more accuracy during use. As described on their site, Karambit co-owners Phillip Koontz and William Simkins say, “Emerson Wave Karambits feature a patented wave-shaped opening mechanism that allows a karambit to open instantly as it’s removed from the pocket.”

On Karambit.com, the standout Emerson Wave knives come shining with a curved blade for clean slashing through dense material. Finished in Black Idroglider and made from stainless steel, the Emerson Wave karambit blade is constructed for the long haul. While Emerson Wave knife deployment offers convenience and efficiency, it also promotes user safety, ensuring that while the karambit is inside the pocket, the knife will not dislodge.

Built using some of the strongest stainless steel available, many of the Emerson Wave deployment tools are constructed in Italy from NC690Co Stainless Steel. The Emerson Wave karambit collection also features knives that come fitted with safety finger rings and ergonomic handles for intuitive operation. Available for reverse and forward grip, the black G10 scales on each tool’s grip make handling each knife a lot safer and enhances the knife’s overall precision rating.

A Fidget spinner enabled travel tool to keep your travel anxiety at bay!

How many of us have travel anxiety? It could be restless tapping of your feet while waiting at the boarding gate or in-flight fidgeting with the controls, we have all been there. This cool conceptual tool is not only a travel essential but also a fidget spinner that doesn’t look like it came with a happy meal. While most multipurpose tools are a combination of cutters, this titanium variant brings a lot more functionality than opening up like Wolverine’s claws!

When you are traveling there are so many tiny details that might slip our mind, especially when we are backpacking and cannot rely on fancy hotel services or big city solutions. I am sure we have all gotten beers or wine from a local shop only to come to our room and find that we don’t have a tool to open either – that’s when Tspin comes to the rescue. Or the time when we remember to buy the international sim card but forget that little pin to open the slot – another worry that is taken care of by Tspin with its dual nano-Sim card-holder and yes, that little pin! And a major thing if you’re traveling solo – a smartphone stand so that you can be in some of the pictures too or watch Netflix while waiting on your train. It also has a carabiner clip that definitely looks much sleeker than the one in your camping kit.

For all of us who wear glasses, this becomes an everyday carry item with its tiny screwdriver to tighten the frame whenever we need it. It also works as a cable wrapping tool – whether you are traveling or not, your earphones will tangle themselves and this little tool saves us from that frustrating man vs cable fight. Our only word of advice, this titanium concept tool may or may not be bulletproof so don’t go all David Guetta on it!

Kimono + Sleeping Bag = Kimono Sleeping Bag

If you’re planning to spend some time in the great outdoors, it’s best to be prepare for as much as you possibly can. Luckily, two of the bulkiest items – the jacket and the sleeping bag – have been combined into one neat little package with the Kimono Sleeping Bag.

Use it like a regular sleeping bag when you’r ready to hit the sack. But if you need to get something outside the comforts of your tent, then simply unfold it, slip into it, and wear it like a kimono.

Doppelganger Outdoor’s Kimono Sleeping Bag is made from a polyester material to trap the warmth in and keep the cold out. It weighs 1.5 kg, so it might feel heavy after you’ve had it on for a while – but hey, it’s either that or the cold, and I’d rather bear the former than have to deal with the latter.
