The most reviled toy in the entire toy box at daycare way back in the day was the Jack-in-the-Box. It played creepy music, and you never knew when that clown bastard would pop out. If you have kids and want to scare the crap out of them in a way that a standard Jack-in-the-Box can’t, this is the toy for you.

This is Mezco Toyz’ Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy Krueger Burst Box. The metal box has images of that knife-fingered nut Freddy on the outside. Spin the green handle and ol’ Fred will pop out with that snazzy red and green sweater, hat, and mincemeat face.

Dressed to Kill: Nixxi Rose’s Killer High Heels

Designers draw inspiration from their passions and interests, and from random things that catch their eye. The former was probably true for jewelry and shoe designer Nixxi Rose when she came up with this series of to-die-for footwear featuring the likes of the previously seen Iron Shoes (inspired by the hit show Game of Thrones) and the Krueger Heels (which were inspired by – you guessed it – Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger.)

Other shoes in the collection include footwear inspired by Breaking Bad (that’s aptly called Breaking Ankles, considering how high it is) and some horror-inducing pumps, including some Hellraiser Pinhead shoes.

It’s a nightmare…on your street. It must suck to live on an Elm Street this time of year. Especially if you come across someone wearing this frightful Nightmare on Elm Street Animated Sweater. As the name would imply this sweater actually has a moving and writhing chest piece showing Freddy’s wretched torso of souls. It also screams, here’s an action video:

Yes- just like Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master when he rips open his iconic sweater to reveal the tortured souls of his victims trapped within. That’s a great item to wear for Halloween and also for normal everyday use. Perhaps for casual Friday in the office? Just don’t fall asleep during that conference call.

Freddy Kreuger Animated Sweater of Souls: Every Day is Halloween

I saw the first couple of Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but never actually made it to Nightmare on Elm Street IV. Apparently, in that movie, Freddy Kreuger makes a serious fashion statement, wearing a sweater filled with the souls of the dead. Now, you can wear the same get-up as Freddy, thanks to the fine folks at Morbid Enterprises.

Forget the sweater. I just love the idea of working for a company called Morbid Enterprises. Though the chest is pretty cool too – it makes horrible noises and the heads move around, moaning “why did he do this to us!?!??” Why, indeed.

The Chest of Souls is slated for release in the 3rd quarter of 2013, so you should be able to get one just in time for Halloween. Though I dare you to wear this to the office on any other day of the year.
