Sharkoon has released the new REX8 mid tower PC cases. Dubbed as the REX8 Value and REX8 Economy, both models provide six USB ports (2 x USB 3.0 plus 4 x USB 2.0 on the Value, 6 x USB 2.0 on the Economy), four 5.25-inch and four 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays, a mesh front panel, seven PCI slots and three pre-drilled holes on the back panel for watercooling tubing. The REX8 Economy is available only in black, while the REX8 Value with two pre-installed 120mm fans is available in white and black. Both entry-level PC cases provide three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch drive bays, a mesh front panel, six USB ports (6 x USB 2.0 for the Economy, 2 x USB 3.0 and 4 x USB 2.0 for the Value), seven PCI slots, and three holes for watercooling tubes on the back panel. Corsair has announced the availability of the Carbide 200R ATX mid-tower PC case (model: CC-9011023-WW). Measuring 490mm x 270mm x 560mm, this new PC case is made of SECC steel and ABS plastic. It provides three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays. The Carbide 200R also features side panel thumbscrews, PCI-E expansion card thumbscrew mounts, cutouts for cable routing and tool-free SSD, hard drive, and optical drive installation. You can also use up to eight fan mounts (depending on hard drive configuration). Xigmatek is ready to release the Asgard 382 mid-tower PC chassis. Available in six variants (three with a side window, three without), the Asgard 382 supports ATX, micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards. Measuring 505mm x 445mm x 195mm, this PC case also provides three 5.25-inch drive bays, four 3.5-inch drive bays, four 2.5-inch drive bays, two top-placed USB 3.0 ports and a pre-installed 120mm cooling fan. Lian-Li Industrial Co., Ltd, today unveiled the new PC-7H brushed aluminum mid tower chassis. Supporting ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, the PC-7H can hold up to four 3.5-inch hard drives and a single 2.5-inch SSD in the HDD cage in the front of the chassis. There are also three 5.25-inch drive bays above the HDD cage. Two 140mm fans in the front of the chassis pull cool air into the chassis, while the bottom 140mm fan blows air directly on the HDD cage. And finally, the rear 120mm exhaust fan pulls hot air out of the chassis. The Lian Li PC-7H also provides a space for three additional 120mm fans. Other features include a removable front panel, an I/O panel on the top of the chassis that contains two USB 3.0 and HD audio connections. Available in silver, black, and internal black, the Lian Li PC-7H mid tower chassis will be released in the USA and Canada later this month for $119. [techPowerUp]
Check out this unique mini-tower chassis computer case from Taiwan-based Lian Li. No it’s not a homemade one of a kind case-mod, it’s actually a purchasable production piece. The computer, officially being called the PC-CK101, is in two parts, the car and engine.
Half the hardware is in the front, half in the back. It even has little train tracks and wheels and I think a little motor so you can glide it around on the rails. Yeah it can actually move. Not sure why you’d want it to, but it does. Check out the video to see what goes inside this computer:
