ZOTAC SONIX 480GB PCIe SSD Announced

ZOTAC SONIX PCIe SSD

ZOTAC is pleased to announce their first PCIe SSD, the SONIX. Coming in 480GB capacity, this high performance SSD is built with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, an NVME 1.2 PCI-Express Gen 3 (x4) interface, a Phison E7 controller, a 512MB DDR3 of high-speed cache and an MTBF of up to 2,000,000 hours.

Protected by technologies including End-to-End Data Path Protection and Dynamic Wear Leveling, the SONIX is capable of delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 2,600 MB/s and 1,300 MB/s for ultra-responsive performance.

The SONIX is a flexible addition for any system as it comes bundled with standard and low-profile brackets to fit even in slim profile system builds. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Product Page]

OCZ has recently unveiled a new line of PCIe SSDs, the RevoDrive 350. Coming in 240GB, 480GB and 960GB sizes, these high-performance SSDs are equipped with 19nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a PCI Express 2.0 (x8) interface, 2x SandForce SF-2282 (240GB model) or 4x SandForce SF-2282 controllers (480GB & 960GB models), a MTBF of 2 million hours and can deliver read/write speeds of up to 1000/950 MB/s (240GB model), 1800/1700 MB/s (480GB & 960GB models), respectively. ASUS has dropped their latest PCIe SSD, the RAIDR Express PCIe SSD. Coming in 240GB capacity, this high-speed PCIe SSD is equipped with 19nm MLC NAND flash memory chips, a PCI-Express 2.0 (x2) interface, a Marvell 9230 RAID controller, 2x SandForce SF-2281 SSD controllers, a MTBF of 620,000 hours and capable of delivering read and write speeds of up to 830MB/s and 810MB/s, respectively. Here we have a new line of PCIe SSDs from Mushkin, the Scorpion Deluxe. Coming in 240GB, 480GB, 960GB and 1920GB capacities, these high-speed SSDs are equipped with a PCI-Express 2.0 (x8) interface, a SandForce SF-2281 controller, a MTBF of 1 million hours and capable of delivering read and write speeds of up to 2150MB/s and 2000MB/s, respectively.
