If you have a smaller backyard you probably only have enough room for either a pool or a patch of grass. But if you had this futuristic inground swimming pool, you can have both! The pool has a retractable cover that has a lawn built right on top of it. The top slides right off the pool and under the deck when you’re ready for a swim. When you’re not swimming, just put your lawn back (make sure everyone’s out of the pool first, that would suck to get stuck in there).
We can’t find any further information on this pool beyond just the video above demonstrating it’s awesomeness but I’m sure if you have a lot of money but not a lot of space, you can find someone willing to build this contraption for you. (via gizmodo)

Summer time is coming and it means one thing and one thing only- keeping the kids occupied and out of your hair for a bit so you can actually enjoy the warm weather. And what better way than to turn your backyard into a mini-waterpark with the Banzai The Plunge Water Slide?
Other inflatable water slides have a small pool at the bottom for landing, but The Plunge has a 12 foot diameter splash pool at the bottom. Great for those kids too small to climb up the 9’6″ tall water slide. The whole thing comes with a blower and inflates in under 3 minutes. It uses both stakes and a pair of water-filled (40lbs worth) anchor bags on the sides of the slide to keep it firmly in place. With a 120 pound weight limit on the slide, it’s super summer fun for kids of a wide range of ages. Take the plunge!

The world’s deepest swimming pool has been around for quite a few years, since 2004. But we shouldn’t call it just a “swimming” pool: it’s a proper diving pool. We’re posting about it now because we just saw the pictures, and heck, that’s a lot of water!
The pool is located in Brussels, Belgium. Its maximum depth is 34.5 metres (113 ft). It contains 2.5 million liters of non-chlorinated, highly filtered spring water maintained at 30 °C (86 °F) and holds several simulated underwater caves at the 10 metres (33 ft) depth level. There are numerous underwater windows that allow outside visitors to look into the pools at various depths.
While we’re on the topic of simulated environments, do you guys know about Excalibur, the world’s tallest climbing wall? That one’s in the Netherlands, and while the Nemo 33 is in Belgium, it was created by one John Beernaerts, a Dutchman. There’s some kind of link there, we’re just not sure what it is. Whatever the case, a dive at Nemo 33 starts at 22€.

A sprayer on top of each slide keeps them wet. It blows up in less than a minute with the included blower. There’s enough room in the inflatable pool for all your kids (unless you’re the Duggars then no, but Octomom- go ahead they’ll fit). Check out the video of kids playing on one:
It’s the best of both worlds- a large inflatable pool and waterslides. That definitely looks like fun for kids and great for parents to sit by, relax, and do their thing while the kids are occupied.
