Logitec has unveiled a new portable DVD writer for Mac, the LDR-PSL8U2MSV. Measuring only 9.5mm thick and weighing just 270g, this slot-loading DVD writer comes with a USB 2.0 connection interface, an LED indicator and promises to provide write speeds of up to 8x for DVD+/-R/+RW. Backed by a one-year warranty, the LDR-PSL8U2MSV will begin shipping from late November for 6,980 Yen (about $69). [Logitec]
