The World’s Smallest Power Tools Are Impossibly Tiny

Dream it, and you can achieve it. And apparently, YouTuber Enos Camare dreamed of the world’s smallest power tools – a 1/12 scale cordless Makita impact driver and circular saw and made them a reality. Clearly, these are an absolute must for any dollhouse home improvement projects you may have, and my dolls are finally going to get the finished basement they deserve.

He created the miniature tool using 3D-printed parts designed in SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and the corded circular saw includes a carry case and instruction manual and changeable blades. The impact driver also comes with a carrying case and instruction manual but features a functional battery charging station and battery pack for cordless operation and is trigger-operated with changeable bits. Wow, that is impressive. Now do a tiny chainsaw next so I can clear the trees around my dollhouse and install a pool!

The great thing about this is if Enos ever gets shrunk like in Honey I Shrunk The Kids, he’ll be able to use his miniature power tools to build himself a tiny home to live in until he’s discovered and restored to regular size. Or, should I say, if he’s restored to regular size. Unshrinking people isn’t as easy as they made it look in the movie.

A Chainsaw Powered by a V8 Engine

Leave it to Australians to create the ultimate manly chainsaw. Whitlands Engineering is an Australian company that makes wood splitters, firewood processors, and other stuff. Apparently, just for kicks, they built a chainsaw powered by a 4.2-liter V8 car engine from a 1985 Holden WB Ute.

Forget it, you can’t buy one and then modify it to zip down the street to chop up other vehicles. The company is not mass-producing this design. It’s just for marketing. That makes me sad, because I could make an awesome Mad Max vehicle out of this thing.

Traffic jams would be a thing of the past since you could just cut your way through them.

Guy Makes His Own Scroll Saw – Out of Wood

Now you know you can run down to the local Home Depot and pick up a scroll saw for under 100 bucks, right? Well that didn’t stop one enterprising DIYer from building his own. Instead of using metal, this guy built his out of wood.

Japanese builder Mikiono created this scroll saw almost entirely out of wood. Pretty much everything except for the saw blade, belt, wires and motor are handmade from plywood. Even the gears are wooden. But does it work? Absolutely. You can see the saw (see what I did there?) in action in the video clip below:

While many hand tools have wooden handles on them, it seems really unusual to me that you’d build a power tool from wood. I’d be afraid that it would saw itself in half. I guess Mikiono just wanted to prove it could be done. And a fine job you have done, sir.
