This Gigantic Clock is Made from Trucks
Mercy sakes alive, looks like we got us a convoy. I mean time-voy. As you might imagine, to maximize profit, tractor trailers need to stay on the road for as long as possible. Time is money. So if you are a truck maker, how do you show off the performance and reliability of your vehicles?
Well, truck-maker Scania had 14 of its vehicles, manned by 90 drivers working around the clock, circle an empty airport for 24 hours straight. Why you may ask? To create a gigantic real-time clock.
It is a pretty damn impressive timepiece, complete with hour, minute, and second hands. You can check out the clock in action in the video below. You’ll want to skip around to see how it looks during the daytime and at night too.
Sure, the trucks occasionally lose a few seconds here and there, but they are pretty reliable and they always stay in perfect formation. This is the coolest – and probably the most expensive – timepiece ever.
