Competitive athletes’ success can be determined by between mere milliseconds or even a millimeter! This means they must take into account every possible factor to ensure they have the best chances of winning, and that includes environmental differences between where they compete and train.

Pace is a device that measures the environment for endurance athletes. The athlete measures the environment where they train periodically to build an understanding on what the athlete’s body is acclimated to. The athlete then measures the environment that they are competing in. Depending on their unique acclimation and what the race environment is, Pace suggests an adjustment in their pace/target heart rate to prepare for more harsh environments or to take advantage of more favorable conditions.

The Swiss Army Knife of Fishing Rods

Truth be told, I loathed fishing when I was growing up. Perhaps it’s because I didn’t have such a stylin’ rod as this one. It’s simply called the Compact Fishing System and it’s an all new, innovative compact design. It’s multifunctional, small, and durable. Imagine being able to travel anywhere in the world with a fishing rod, and never having to worry about damaging or breaking it. Users can swap parts according to what method they’re using and what fish they’re trying to catch. The Compact Fishing System’s patent pending, compact fishing rod allows users to equip all existing reels thanks to the removable trigger. The design is made from stainless steel spring poles, CNC machined – sea water-resistant 6061 T6 – aluminum reel seat, hardwood handles. Better yet, it uses no plastics! The result is a truly unbreakable fishing rod, which is made to last for several decades.

Placed at the front and back of the skis, the system uses GPS, an accelerometer, and other sensors to monitor velocity, turns, and other data which are transmitted via Bluetooth to a wrist-worn device for interpretation. With this information, skiers can not only hone their skills but compete with friends and other skiers via social media sharing!
