When JP, my roommate’s cat, has to go to the vet, wrangling him into his pet carrier is a team effort. JP is quick, his claws are sharp, and he is willing to do anything to avoid that plastic-shelled trap. Many pets find comfort in their crates. JP loves to curl up in a box or other confined space. The problem is that his carrier comes with negative connotations, and the material itself is hard plastic. The Hoonico new carrio 2, on the other hand, offers a soft, comfy den that your cat would voluntarily step in. I don’t see the Hoonico as a pet carrier or kennel; I see it as a cat bed that happens to be portable.

Additionally, the new carrio 2 has taken into account your comfort needs as the pet holder. The product has detachable straps that can hook onto the bag in four different ways. You can wear it as a backpack (oriented vertically or horizontally), a shoulder bag, a crossbody carrier on your chest, or hold it like a briefcase. This multifunctional feature makes the process of totting your pet as convenient as possible.

Here are a few extra features that you and your pet will love. One, the carrier’s cover has a peephole that your cat can watch the world through. Two, that same door has a magnet sewn in, so it can stick to the other half of the bag and give your cat a more scenic view. Don’t worry, your pet won’t jump out because there’s a secondary net covering underneath! The carrier also has a cloth loop where you can hook a lock around the zipper for extra pet safety.

I love the functionality of this product, but I also appreciate its aesthetic. The neutral gray fabric could match with most outfit color schemes, making it the perfect accessory. I imagine the Hoonico as a practical transport vessel, but with its stylish design, I’d be tempted to carry my roommate’s cat wherever I go.

A carrier bag for your pets to avoid claustrophobia!

You know when it’s time to take your pet for a check-up to the vet, and you pop them into a pet carrier bag, only for them to howl and screech the entire way, while you cover your face in shame? Yeah, every pet owner has been there and done that. Seems like product designer Sunghoon Park had his fair share of such experiences because he ended up designing ‘The Hoonico Moomoo Bag’. The Moomoo Bag promises to solve the biggest problem you encounter every time you try to take your pet somewhere, ‘How to get them to just relax and stop whining?’ It seems like an ordinary shoulder bag with an adjustable strap, but it has a surprise up its sleeve! Park added a little circular window to the bag!

One end of the Moomoo Bag features an open patch through which your pet can wiggle their heads out. A little peeking hole for them to look out at the world, and stay connected with you, without feeling claustrophobic and anxious in the carrier bag. Enclosed carrier bags tend to make our furry friends antsy and nervous, but Moomoo’s handy pocket lets your pets stick their head and neck out, making them feel at ease. A mesh cover can be added to the pocket if your pet is a little naughty and might sneakily escape.

Perfect for carrying your pets to and fro locations, the Moomoo Bag can be pretty functional at home too! It also serves as a cushion for your pets to relax on.

Simply wrap the adjustable strap around the body of the bag, and clip it on to the latch at the other end. Play around with the bag to create the perfect form for a cushion, and watch as your pet happily lounges about on it.

Stackable cushions to keep your little pet safe while helping them climb!

Did you know that the most common reason for smaller dogs to visit the hospital are fractures caused due to accidentally falling down? Well, I didn’t either. The tinier the pet, the larger are the chances of it prancing and jumping about and ultimately falling to its downfall. This could be because of slippery floors or sofas and beds which are at a height. So, South Korean product designer Sunghoon Park created the ‘Hoonico Cocotep’. What’s Hoonico Cocotep? Well, it’s a collection of large foam-filled cushions that can be easily stacked one on top of the other. The cushions are created by taking highly elastic PE foam pods and wrapping them up with a waterproof PVC eco sheet.

The set is made by combining two types of cushions, a smaller, pod-like one looks like a mini Snickers bar accompanied by the larger square one joined in between. They can be stacked one on top of the other or laid flat for your pet to rest on when not climbing. The cushion combos can be placed in front of sofas and beds which may be at a height, creating a makeshift staircase for your furry friends, ensuring they reach from one level to another safely, without causing themselves any harm. Depending on the height of your furniture, you can create two or three step stairs that won’t slip given the silicon grooves at the base.

Cocotep is targeted at smaller pets who are in imminent danger of hurting themselves if they try any excessive tricks. Available in a variety of pretty colors such as Coral, Oat, Kashmir Blue and Gray, the Cocotep cushions can be mix and matched to create an attractive aesthetic appeal. Long gone are the days of your excited furry buddies falling to their doom, at least as long as Hoonico Cocotep has something to say about it!

Doubling as a backpack, travel carrier and a bed, this is no ordinary pet carrier bag!

Transporting your beloved pet from one location to another can be a handful! Of course, that’s where pet carriers come into the picture. However, not all pet carriers are the most comfortable nor the most efficient medium of transportation. Some can be difficult to carry, whereas others aren’t comfy enough for our pets to snuggle into. Sunghoon Park’s ‘Carrio’ on the other hand is quite versatile and modular as well! At first glance, it may look like an ordinary pet carrier, but once you dwell deeper, it has a bit of a surprise in store for you. At home, Carrio can be used as a bed or a quaint resting spot for your pet, a personal area for your pet to laze around in after a long day of play. When it comes to functioning as a carrier, it provides two modules, owing to two types of straps that can be customized. It can be used as a carrier backpack, slip it onto your shoulders effortlessly and take your pet alongside you wherever you please. Put on the second pair of straps, and it can be used as a travel carrier bag! You can hold it horizontally like a duffle bag, apt for your larger furry friends. Since the carrier also functions as the bed the pets rest in at home, it’s something they grow accustomed to. It begins to feel familiar to them, relieving their stress, and heading out of the house doesn’t seem like an ordeal anymore!

Available in a variety of fun colors from blue to beige, Carrio is a multifunctional and trendy alternative to your usual pet carrier bag. As the owner of two perfect Persian cats myself, this is probably one of the handiest creations I’ve come across!

Kohler Mode makes showering more intuitive and relaxing

Have you ever been in a situation where you have turned on the cold water instead of the hot water, for your shower? It typically happens to me at hotels or when I go stay with my parents. Modern bathrooms can come with super-complicated fittings, because manufacturers want to pack in as many features as possible. I remember there was a time when jet-showers were a rage, so along with the main shower, came the super jets on the two side panels. They promised to give you a spa massage experience, and a total nightmare to navigate!

Today, we are back to appreciating the simplicity and a project like the Kohler Mode makes showering more intuitive and relaxing. A stylish push button teamed rotary dial with LED indicators make it easy for you to navigate between bath and shower, hand and overhead shower, hot and cold water. Would love to give this a try!

As trendy as a Smartwatch gets, the Cyclone is an outdoor device inspired by Nike Mercurial Vapor football boot. The similarities are drawn from the dynamic shape and intense colors of the footwear. We love it for its very cool design cues; refreshingly different from the usual.
