NINI AMICI is a new set of small toys made of elmwood. There are only ten pieces, but the toy set is modular, so you can make more toys. It uses a magnetic connector system to attach different parts to make different animals.

Three base bodies can work as the tail, head, or hump. Kids can make most of the known animals, but you can also create new ones depending on the children’s imaginative play. You can call the pieces that connect with magnets as NINIs.

What’s more remarkable about the NINIs are the people who make them. The toys are made in Upper Franconia, Germany in a workshop for people with mental and physical disabilities. They are fairly produced and special because of the special people who make them.

The wooden toy set is ideal for people ages three and above. Even the adults will find joy in creating and playing with the NINIs. Make sure kids under 36 months don’t play with them as there are small parts that can be swallowed. The wooden parts have magnets, so you should also keep them away from people who wear defibrillators or pacemakers.

These wooden toys are very appealing with a minimalist aesthetic. We can consider them as user-configurable as it is up to the kids what animals they want to make. I am very particular when it comes to choosing desk accessories. If I’m going to use this product every day, it needs to fit seamlessly into my working life. It can’t be too large or have oddly shaped compartments. The best desk organizer is one that makes your life easier without you noticing. You can search through multiple stores until you find the perfect fit or, with this constructor-organizer, you can build your own.

One of its most unique features is the fact that the trays and different compartments don’t have an assigned purpose. This product doesn’t have a specific pencil holder or key ring hook. The nooks, ridges, and holders can fit a wide variety of small supplies; it’s up to you to decide how to use them. Another unusual feature of this product is that it can be oriented vertically as well as horizontally, making the possibilities seem almost limitless.

This freedom might seem overwhelming and a bit intimidating, but I think the wooden aesthetic helps make the product more accessible. It reminds me of a mix between Jenga blocks and legos, a building toy that encourages me to play around with the organizer until I settle on the perfect shape. The neutral coloring also allows the product to blend into a variety of settings. I could imagine it complementing the most colorful office cubicle or matching a wood-shop or other construction space. I’m truly impressed by this product’s versatility, both in terms of function and appearance.

We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again, flexible lifestyle is the future and it is amazing to see how product designs are pivoting to be more modular to suit that change! Furniture designs are seemingly leading this game. The Un-Lim collection was specifically created so you can switch up the function and form of your furniture to fit your needs instead of going out to buy a new piece every time something changes. Un-Lim stands for unlimited and that truly shines through this set.

“Unlimited imagination and unimaginable needs of people could be contradictory to the limitations of our planet and our capacities as human beings. The consumption patterns we have adapted have led to global warming, polluted air, soil, and water while putting pressure on people, both in working conditions and a psychological obsession to gain more without answering the real needs,” says designer Ariyan Davoodian on what inspired him to create modular furniture for every space. The aim was to reduce the unnecessary (and constant) buying by using creativity and sustainable development to meet our furniture needs that also work for our environment.

Un-Lim is an ageless collection that can be molded and changed over time – think of it as redesigning your own furniture using the same pieces to create a whole new form and function! It comes with 8 different parts that you can combine to match your space and needs. Turn it from a bed to a table to a chair seamlessly. The separate modules come with a notebook that tells the story of its production timeline from the furniture’s point of view! It also includes a piece of wood from the tree that was used and a shoutout to all wood craftsmen who worked on your set.

Think of it as a running LEGO project that you can actually sit on without getting poked. The designer wanted consumers to have a long-lasting relationship with the pieces that are a part of their home and use them to express their creativity while saving natural resources and reducing waste. It teaches you to find happiness with what you have instead of finding it in a new product every other year.
