Now that’s a Hot Fireplace!

Fireplaces might just be the perfect method of creating a warm, homely and cozy atmosphere within a room, but it’s fair to say that some apartment’s or house’s décor just doesn’t welcome the conventional fireplace.

‘In frame’ is a modern take on the traditional fireplace and it aims to connect the past and the present through carefully considered design. The elegant frame that surrounds the circular central section has been designed to be rotational, allowing it to be easily adjusted. This frame also creates an area to hang basic laundry, so it can dry.

In frame’s flexibility doesn’t end there, the user has the choice of either hanging it on the wall, so it mimics the location of a traditional fireplace, or having it freestanding in the center of the room. Whichever option they choose, it will be sure to make for a stunning addition to the room!

Sound Before Sight

There was a day and age, before television, that folks only listened to the radio and used their imaginations. Nowadays, it seems as though it’s the audio that supports the visual. Designed in response to this, Sound.B is FIRST a speaker and SECOND a TV!

This Bluetooth enabled sound bar is equipped with an integrated vertical beam projector. Use it to stream your favorite tunes or tune in to your favorite channel. When it’s not in TV mode, you won’t be left with a giant black square in your living space. Instead, it looks like a sleek streamlined console. It’s legs, however, can easily be removed for placement on a shelf or other surface.

The angle of the screen and the volume control are operated by the rotary buttons, providing a distinctive feeling.

What if NASA made a coffee maker? This stellar concept called Dot/Dot explores this very question! Applying the design language of the aeronautic giant, this coffee pod machine takes on a never before seen aesthetic that caffeine cravers and space enthusiasts alike will appreciate.

The look of the machine is a mix of planetary and rocket-like, but what really stands out are the pods themselves! They’re perfectly spherical unlike the common cup versions, and modeled after the planets, making them fun and interesting to interact with!

Fire has always been a must-have for campers but today the same is true for electricity! How else are you gonna snap those wilderness selfies or have an awesome soundtrack to your adventure? The Zen Stove aims to provide campers with both of these necessities.

The design utilizes regular butane gas but also includes a built-in electricity generating system that charges when you burn it. A socket between a heat module and cooling module generates electricity using the difference in temperature. The colder it is outside, the more electricity will be generated. This way, you can power or recharge all your portable devices to enhance your camping experience!

Remember how I used to talk about the demise of Form Follows Function? The Watercone seems to fit well into that theory. The outward shape of the Watercone has an aesthetic that transcends functionality. When not in use, it is designed to be decorative. You probably are wondering what the Watercone is! The Watercone is a humidifier designed to look nothing like one. Its conical shape houses all the electronics and water storage needed. The design is small enough to be a part of your desk, and sturdy enough to even be carried around without worries of the water spilling; which means you can use the Watercone in your car too! It comes in two absolutely beautiful metal/gloss-plastic color combos for you to choose from. One for the Apple lover, and another for the HP lover! (If you know what I mean!)
